Biography.

Catherine could easily be likened to a rather sour candy; with a tart and bitter outer shell that will only give way to kinder flavors with time. She's a woman who keeps herself guarded, especially so in public areas. Her reactions to things often being neutral at best or downright arrogant and conceited at worst. But with a bit of time, the right company, and the right place her frigid shields can lower to reveal someone more caring. She likes to think she acts only in the best interest of herself and those close to her but her more compassionate moments can come across as clumsy or outright vain.

When speaking she has a tendency to upspeak, the pitch of her voice often rising at the end of a sentence. The filler word 'like' also dots her vocabulary.She is an Ul'dahn native born and raised, well used to the trade-focused way of life that the city has fostered -- So much so that she often finds herself agog when overhearing an adventurer comment upon the cities ways. Catherine was born to a merchant mother and a pugilist father, the latter of which she lost early into her childhood. Ultimately she sought an escape within the Order of Nald'thal, and nowadays she's a thaumaturge within the Order, and devotes much of her time to acquiring items that might be of interest to either herself or the Ossuary.

  Materia Hunt.   Catherine is currently looking for materia; the crystallized form of a piece of equipments history. It's not something that's particularly easy to come by and she's keeping an eye out for anyone willing to help her.  Order of Nald'thal.   Catherine works for the Order of Nald'thal, acquiring relics and knowledge that they might wish to keep for themselves in the Ossuary.  Dark Arts.   This spellcaster is very interested in the more questionable magicks. Spells born of the Void, unlicensed Black Magic, Necromatic arts... Just don't try to speak to her about it in public, otherwise you'll earn a quick cold shoulder.

  Minor healing ability.   Catherine is a firm believer that how you cast your spells should not limit what spells you cast, thus she has quickly taken to experimenting and has found a few methods of arcane healing along the way -- Useful in a pinch!  Ossuary Busywork.   Being a Thaumaturge for the Order of Nald'thal can come with a /lot/ of work. Performing rites and carrying out condemnation orders being the bulk of it... The Ossuary also offers insurance to merchants and traders, albeit at eye-watering rates.  City Girl.   Catherine is a city girl through and through, she's got no experience bunking out in the wilds or travelling through rough terrain. It's not uncommon to find her lamenting this fact.
